In the episode today, Dr. Cindra talks with Lisa Kaye about how we all have an inner gremlin what is formed to protect us. Listening to this gremlin leads us to playing small and puts a cap on our limitless potential. To identify your gremlin message, ask yourself “What gets in the way of you moving forward in your life?” and then uncovering the underlying message to your response to that question. Dr. Cindra also reminds us that it’s important to remember to not believe everything you think!

Power Phrase of the Week: “I don’t believe everything I think.”

Quote of the Week: “You’ve been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.” Louise Hay

The present moment is the only place peak performance is possible. Breathing deliberately is important to your mindset because it allows you to remain in the present moment and reduces your stress, anxiety, and anger.  Breathing deliberately also improves memory and awareness. Dr. Cindra talks about how to count with your breathing because this helps you NOT focus on what is creating your stress and anxiety.

Power Phrase this Week: “I train my mind taking a breath to stay in the present.”

Quote of the Week: “The breath that you just took, that’s a gift.” Rob Bell

Trusting yourself is an essential part of building your self-confidence. Your trust is a trait that can be trained, and should be trained. First, when training your trust, it is important to not wait for confidence – instead, act confidently. Second, we need to doubt our doubts! Most of what we say to ourselves when we doubt ourselves is a lie. The third strategy to train your trust is to be kind to yourself. Make sure your inner dialogue supports trusting yourself.

Power Phrase this Week: “I train my trust. I act confidently and my belief follows.”

Quote of the Week: “If you’re going to trust one person, let it be yourself.” Robert Tew

This week on the podcast we talk about The 3 Gifts Technique. Consider a difficulty you are experiencing right now – the difficulty could be big or small. Then, ask yourself, how can this be a gift? The gift could come from an increased knowledge, power to grow your mental muscle in a new way, or inspiration where your action becomes a gift. When you have the ability to turn everything into a gift, you have nothing to fear because everything is an opportunity in some way.

Power Phrase this Week: “I see the gift in every difficulty.”

Quote of the Week: “Every problem in your life carries a gift inside it.” Richard Bach
