On the podcast this week, we discuss how to thrive on “the big stage” in the moments that are important to us. It is natural to feel pressure in these moments. We feel pressure when the outcome is important to us and the outcome is uncertain. You can’t live a life without pressure. The key is to manage your reactions to it. Notice your thoughts and emotions. Focus on what you can control – which is only you and your response to the situation.

Power Phrase this Week:” I focus on what I can control. I trust myself today.”

Quote of the week: “Everything negative – pressure and challenges – is all an opportunity for me to rise.” Kobe Bryant

Today we are talking about the power of our own self-talk and how to overcome our own inner critic. What you think about yourself, you become. You can train your mind to level up your belief in yourself. Dr. Kamphoff shares with a powerful strategy we can use to level up our thoughts called The Truth Meter.

Power Phrase this Week:” I talk to myself powerfully and tell myself the truth.”

Quote of the Week: “Work harder on yourself than you do your job.” Jim Rohn, American businessman and self-made millionaire

Several years ago, Google undertook a massive two-year study on high-performing teams, calling it “Project Aristotle.” They sought to answer the question “What makes a high performing team?” After conducting over 200 interviews, they surprisingly found a top ingredient for high-performing teams was psychological safety—in fact, it was the most important ingredient in high-performing teams. Today on the podcast, we talk about how we can apply this idea to building a thriving culture at work, home, or any other place we lead.

Quote of the Week: “If you want to succeed, double your failure rate.” Tom Watson, CEO of IBM

Power Phrase of the Week:” I see failure and mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow.”

Today in this episode, Dr. Cindra who works with several Olympians, talks about how we each need to train our mind like an Olympian. Training your mind like an Olympian includes believing in your potential, and believing anything is possible. Research also confirms that importance of preplanning our self-talk for moments we feel pressure. What do you want to say to yourself when you want to step into your potential?

Power Phrase this Week: I train my mind like an Olympian believing anything is possible.”

Quote of the Week: “Failure, I can live with. Not trying is what I can’t handle.” Sonya Richards Ross, Gold-Medal Track and Field Athlete
